Silver Corinthian "Stater" of Pegasus
This silver Corinthian "stater" [coin] is from the Acarnania area of ancient Greece, and was minted circa 320-280 BC. On the obverse side is Pegasus flying left. On the reverse side is the head of Athena, facing left, wearing a Corinthian helmet over a leather cap.
