Syrian Coin Pendant, Zeus & Elephant, w18K

A superb coin from Syria, Seleukia and Pieria, Apameo, from 70 BC, trimmed with 18 karat gold as a pendant. On the obverse side, the Laureate Head of Zeus right facing, with a gorgeous spot of natural verdigris at his eye. On the reverse side, an elephant standing to face the right. This is a bold, lovely example of ancient coinage with a natural red earthen patina. This coin has been inspected and approved to be authentic by a professional Numismatic who specializes in ancient coinage. A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany this coin.
