A Ptolemaic Bronze Coin Pendant w 18k Gold
This ancient coin was struck at a military mint during the Ancient Greek Ptolemaic period, at what is now present day Syria, during the reign of Seleucid King Antiochos III, between approximately 223 and 187 BC. This bronze coin weighs 5.27 grams and measures 17 mm without the gold trim. The mint was established to support military commerce and it produced bronze coinage featuring a Macedonian shield on the obverse and an elephant on the reverse. On the reverse side with an elephant walking right, is "ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑNΤΙΟΧΟΥ". The condition grade of this coin is "Very Fine".
