An Owl Drachm [coin] Pendant, circa 404 BC
A Silver Drachm [coin] pendant from circa 449-404 century BC. This spectacular coin of an owl and a portrait of Athena is trimmed with 18 karat gold. On the obverse side is the head of Athena, wearing a crested Attica helmet adorned with olive leaves and an upwardly turned palmette. On the reverse side, an owl standing right, facing forward, with letters "AOE" written down the right side. This coin has been inspected and approved to be authentic by a professional Numismatic who specializes in ancient coinage. A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany this coin.
