A Byzantine Bronze Ring w/ 21 Karat Gold Rope Square Trim and hand chiseled decorative accents from Byzantine era. The Byzantine Era ran from the 300s to the fall of Constantinople and the Eastern Roman Empire in the 1450's, at which time, the area fell to the Ottoman Empire. The vast area of Byzantium spanned from the Mediterranean coast of Italy to Eurasia. This bronze ring is soft to the touch, and extremely light. This oxblood bronze ring is a wonderful artifact from the Byzantine era with the unique embellishment of 21 karat gold by a contemporary artisan. Truly unique and one of kind!
