A Gorgeous Italian 18th C. Venetian Sofa

An 18th century Italian Venetian sofa with removable back. This antique sofa from Italy, just over 6 feet in length, features a beautiful wood trimmed lines throughout; the flat-edged wooden crest rail which flows gently down the arms, which gracefully curve outward at each far end. The skirt has a clean and straight trim, with emphasis of raised squares at each corner, and a single carved medallion adorning their center. This piece is raised upon six fluted cylindrical legs. Seat, back, and arm sides have been newly upholstered in a neutral toned Belgian linen, which highlights the rich, warmth wood tones. Please note that the back is removable, and because of this the back tends to have a little give to it, but it is not unstable. See our additional images on the conversion from sofa to bench.
