Dutch Colonial Carved-Teak Bench w/Back
A Dutch Colonial carved teak wood bench from the mid 20th century. This mid-century Dutch Colonial bench from Indonesia has a single, long, teak-slab board backrest, rectangular in shape, with another single slab board as the seat. There are carved arm rests, with large-rounded knuckles, that continue down to make up the front legs (again, each arm rest and leg is carved out of a single piece of wood). The bench is presented upon four squared legs, which gently taper towards their feet. The teak has a lovely patina throughout. This Dutch Colonial teak bench would be a wonderful addition to an entry hall, or perhaps a covered porch or kitchen. It is a good-sized piece, being just shy of 6.5 feet in length.
