Pair French Mid-Century Black End Tables

A French pair of painted wood side chests with single drawer and open shelf from the mid-20th century. This pair of vintage side tables from France each feature a recessed top framed within stacked trim molding, atop and open cubie shelf at front, flanked by open "x" shaped lattice sides, and a small drawer is floated below. The tables are raised upon four slender, squared legs which taper towards their feet. The black finish is newer and not original. This mid-century French pair of petite end tables would function well as nightstands flanking a smaller bed, or perhaps at either end of a settee with a nice display for books below and decorative items atop.
