Pair French Mirror Top End Tables, 1920's
A French pair of side tables with mirror tops from the early 20th century. This antique pair of tables from France each feature an inset square-shaped mirror at top, within a wooden lip that is nicely carved along three sides with scalloped front corners. The apron house a an open cubie shelf at front, recessed panels are found at the three other sides, and a scalloped skirt adorns all four bottom edges. The tables are presented upon four elongated cabriole style legs with gracefully carved leaf motifs wrapping their tops where they meet at the apron and terminating into volute scrolls at feet. The bleached finish is complimented with a custom gray trim that has hints of powder blue. This French pair of petite tables, circa 1920's, would make for wonderful end tables flanking a settee or smaller seating arrangement, with a display for books below and decorative items atop.
