19th C. Brazilian Peroba Wood Center Table
A Brazilian carved and painted peroba wood center table from the 19th century. This antique table from Brazil has a round-shaped top, over a plainly rounded skirt/apron, and raised on four curvy cabriole style legs. The legs are supported with a lower cross stretcher brace which is topped with a decorative finial at its center. The table is made of peroba wood, a tropical native hardwood to Brazil that is 35% harder than oak. The top has a beautifully rustic patina, showing character from it's prior use and age, which is complimented nicely with a custom earthy taupe finish about the apron and legs. This 19th century Brazilian table would make a wonderful center table for your home and is approximately 3.75 feet in diameter.
