French Rococo Style Gilt Salon Table 19th C

A long French Louis XV style carved and gilt wood salon table with painted glass inlay top from the 19th century. This antique "table de milieu" from France, designed in the opulent Louis XV style with beautiful rocaille carvings about all four sides of the apron, curvaceous skirt, and knees. The top is mostly rectangular with canted corners. Glass inlay adorns the top which is painted in a green faux-marbre effect with gold bow-tied ribbons. It is presented upon four elegantly curved legs. Please note that there are some scratches to the glass top. This rococo style table from the 19th century in France is approximately 8.25 feet in length, and will make a spectacular centre table for a grand foyer or entrance hall.
