French Neoclassical Gilt Mirror w/Urn Crest

A cute-sized French Neoclassical carved and gilt wood mirror from the 19th century. This antique mirror from France features a richly carved gilt wood surround, in typical Neoclassical style, adorn with a raised urn crest at top center of frame, with floral motif and textured surround throughout the frame. Each mirror corner has a square-shaped plaque with flower head medallion carved within the center. The bottom corners are emphasized, with acanthus carved feet. Petite beaded trim lines the inner surround next to the glass, with a larger, repeating and entwined circular pattern trim about the frame perimeter. This 19th century French Neoclassical mirror would look quite beautiful in a bedroom, or entry hall.
