French Antique Neoclassical Trumeau Mirror
A French Neoclassical style painted wood trumeau mirror from the early 20th century. This antique mirror from France features the carved-wood plaque top, typical of trumeau design, with linear trim molding at the top rail, and upper plaque carved with a Neoclassical inspired urn at center, with floral bouquet and draped beaded swags, leafy branches, and elongated scrolls adorning the sides and lower section beneath the urn. The rectangular-shaped glass mirror, set within the lower portion of frame, has a petite beaded trim next to the glass, about the inner surround. The outer lines of the frame are straight and linear. The finish is primarily a creamy/ivory color with areas of wood showing through. This beautiful 19th century French Neoclassical style trumeau mirror is approximately 4 feet wide, and standing approximately 4.75 feet in height.
