Italian Wooden Wall Plaque w/Shell Crest

An Italian decorative wall panel from the turn of the 19th and 20th century. This antique plaque from Italy is rectangular-shaped, and features a large crest with shell motif at center peak, flanked within floral medallions and scrolling acanthus leaves. The main body within the rectangular frame is clean. The finish is both neutral and warm, consisting of grey and taupe hues, and old gold paint. This late 19th century Italian wall plaque is just shy of 3 feet in width and just over 2.5 feet in height.
