18th C. Pair Swedish Rococo Sidechairs

A Swedish pair of period Rococo side chairs, with upholstered seats, from the 18th century. These antique chairs from Sweden have shell-carved top rails, curvy back splats, and a front apron beneath the seat that is carved in the same shell motif as the top rail. The seats have been newly upholstered in a neutral Belgian linen. They are presented upon beautifully carved, cabriole style legs, that terminate into ball-and-claw feet at front. Rear legs are sabre. The legs are braced with an H-shaped stretcher that runs at the underside of the chair, and a cross stretcher bar between the rear legs. These Swedish period Rococo chairs would be perfect for an intimate seating arrangement; perhaps in a bedroom, study, or living room.
