A French Spit-Jack Lighting Fixture
A French mid-century, six-light forged-iron chandelier made from a 19th century spit-jack. A spit-jack is a type of rotisserie that was once common in fireplaces. This chandelier has six arms, three lifting up and out along each long side of the central spit-jack, with it's sawed teeth facing down. A rigid link with twist detail connects each far end of the spit-jack to the top, connected by a decorative circular iron ring. This forged-iron chandelier has a beautifully aged patina. This vintage French chandelier has been rewired for the US and comes with a complimentary 3-foot chain and canopy painted to match.
