French 12-Light Forged Iron Chandelier
A French twelve-light forged iron chandelier from the mid 20th century. This vintage chandelier from France, which looks to have originally been an old farm implement that was retrofitted into a light fixture, has an overall rectangular-shape, with four v-shaped iron bars which cross three iron bars in perpendicular fashion (appearance from below is somewhat of an thick arrow shape), and having a pair of large hooks that hang down at one long side. The mechanism supports twelve light arms across the top, with their cupped iron bobèches and painted candle sleeves housed in their center. The light connects to the upper canopy with four linked chains that meet together in a larger top o-ring. The light fixture has been rewired for the US and comes with a complimentary 3-foot chain and canopy painted to match.
