18th C. Italian Two-Door Console Credenza

An Italian carved-wood console chest from the 18th century. This antique cabinet from Italy has a breakfront style design, with convex side posts flanking the pair of doors housed at center, and presented upon a platform style base. Decoratively raised panels design the cabinet doors, convex side posts, and each far side. The doors open to reveal shelving for great storage inside. The wood has a fabulous old patina, as one might expect from a centuries old piece. The top is heavily aged and worn, has old bug holes and has been patched. Note that the bottom board and back has been replaced at some point. This 18th century Italian credenza will make a handsome storage and display piece within any room, perhaps finding it's place within your dining, living room, or entry hall.
