18th C. French Painted Wood Buffet Cabinet
A French painted-wood, two-door buffet cabinet from the 18th century. This antique cabinet from France has a rectangular-shaped top, over a case that houses a pair of half-sized drawers at top (with a circular medallion carved at middle front, between each drawer), above two raised panel doors. Each of the doors have a decorative raised-panel design; with tops that are reminiscent of "cat ears". They are fitted with Rococo style hardware, and open to reveal a shelf and abundant storage within. The front side posts are softly rounded to the sides which are adorn with a single raised panel. A clean molding wraps the bottom at base. The overall color of this piece is primarily wheat with a light charcoal trim accent. This 18th century French buffet cabinet is as beautiful as it is functional; with a 4.5 foot long (approximate) width, which makes it a versatile storage & display option that cold be used in many rooms throughout the home.
