French Side Chest w/Orig. Marble, 19th C.

A French three-drawer side chest with original marble top from the 19th century. This antique end table from France features its original marble atop a cube-shaped case which houses three small drawers, and is raised upon four slender squared legs which taper to their feet. Each of the recessed panel drawers are outlined about the inner panel with brass trim and fitted with a pair of elaborately designed rectangular pulls. The wood has a black/charcoal finish (which still allows for much of the wood grain to show through) that compliments the black marble top. This 19th century French chest is a cute size piece; perfect for a small drinks or end table, perhaps sitting alongside your favorite reading chair.
