German Chest w/Shallow Breakfront, 19th C.
A German chest of drawers, with furniture maker mark by Konz Lagerhausen, from the 19th century. This antique chest from Germany has a subtle break-front design about the front which carries from the top down through each of the three drawers housed in the case below. Each of the drawers is fitted with a pair of brass hanging ring pulls which flank the The skirting is clean and linear. This piece is presented upon four squared, tapering legs which terminate into squared feet. The veneer gives this piece a rich wood grain aesthetic. Note that some of the veneer at the top is not totally flat. This 19th century German chest would work beautifully in a bedroom, living room, or entry hall- perhaps adorn with a few decorative objects and one of our lovely mirrors hanging above!
