Early 19th C. French Chest-Beautiful Veneer

A French chest commode with really pretty veneer and dark trim, from the early 19th century. This antique chest from France has been designed in nice, clean/linear lines, allowing the beautifully veneered wood grain and book-matched designs to speak for the simple elegance of this piece. The chest houses three full-sized and graduated drawers, each outlined in a nicely contrasting dark trim, and fitted with a pair or metal pull handles (with floral back-plates) and a minimalist key-hole escutcheon within the center. Each side has book-matched veneers. This chest is presented nicely upon four gently tapering squared legs. This 19th century French commode, placed either in a living room, entry foyer, or bedroom, will make a fabulous storage piece with plenty of style!
