French 19th C. Neoclassical Commode, Grey

A French Neoclassical style carved and painted wood chest of drawers from the 19th century. This antique commode from France features a rectangular-shaped top which slightly overhangs the neoclassical style case below that houses three full-sized drawers flanked within fluted side posts. The drawers are each adorn with decorative panels that have projected/squared corners, and are fitted with Neoclassical brass ring-pulls with escutcheon in at their centers (hardware has an urn motif). The chest is raised upon tapering squared legs which are fluted. There is a custom grey (soft/creamy) wash is complimented with a darker and cooler grey accent trim. This Neoclassic style French chest, from the 19th century, will offer endless possibilities for use throughout your home.
