18th C. French Chest w/Spectacular Hardware

A French painted wood serpentine commode, with gorgeous brass hardware, from the 18th century. This antique chest from France has a very softly curved serpentine design at front, which is carried from the top and down the along the three drawers. Each of the drawers, flanked within rounded front side posts, are adorned with case which houses three full-sized, graduated doors. The drawers are flanked with rounded front side posts (accented with linear lines and paint), are each fitted with the most deliciously-fabulous ornate brass pulls and matching escutcheons set at center. There is a custom creamy taupe finish which is complimented with a grey accent trim. The chest is presented on block style feet; a continuation of the front side posts extending to the floor. This late 18th century French chest would look quite elegant in a bedroom, living room, or entry hall; perhaps adorned with a few decorative objects and one of our lovely mirrors hanging above.
