Swedish 19th c Chest w/Taj Mahal Quartz Top

A Swedish wood chest, with beautiful inlaid embellishments and custom quart top, from the 19th century. This antique chest from Sweden has been fitted with a new quartzite "Taj Mahal" top which rests atop a case that houses three dove-tailed graduated drawers, flanked within canted side posts, and is raised on spade style legs. A lovely Neoclassical inspired inlay wood design is featured about the top drawer, side post and each side in a swag motif. The drawers are fitted round ring pulls with backplates and a rounded escutcheon at center. The wood has been stripped down to its natural wood finish, with a light wash over color over the drawer fronts. This 19th century Swedish chest, with new quartz top, is such a cute and very-well made piece! It would be fabulous in a bedroom, entry hall or living room!
