18th C. French Louis XV Serpentine Commode

A French Louis XV serpentine commode from the 18th century. This lovely antique chest of drawers from France features subtle curves and a serpentine front, with case that houses three full-sized drawers, flanked within a pair of softly-rounded and recessed panel front side posts, and raised on cabriole carved legs. Each drawer is adorned with fabulous, ornate brass pulls and an escutcheon at center. The skirt is has a shallow scallop at each side, with a fan carved accent dropping downward at center front of skirt. This piece has a warm, rich patina, a reflection of it's history and prior use, and is amazing condition for its age! This 18th century French Louis XV commode, just over four feet in width, will make a splendid addition to your living room, dining room, or bedroom!
