18th C. French Louis XV Bombé Commode

An exquisitely beautiful French Louis XV carved-wood bombé commode, or chest of drawers, from the 18th century. This antique chest of drawers from France has been designed with nice proportions and has a rectangular-shaped top over a sophisticated bombé formed case, with shapely frontside down the drawer-fronts. Three dovetailed drawers with a decorative panel design, are fitted with a pair of hanging pulls that flank a circular medallion trimmed center with escutcheon at center. The gorgeously undulating front side posts are carved with leaf accents and a vertical beaded trim. Each far case side has a three rectangular panel design. This piece is presented upon a flat base, with clean/linear trim. The wood has a slightly bleached finish with faint accent trim. This stunning 18th century French Louis XV commode, with a width of over 5.5 feet, will make a striking case-piece with plentiful display opportunities along its lengthy topside!
