Heracles Silver Tetradrachm w 18K trim
A Silver Tetradrachm [coin] displaying the head of Heracles and Zeus enthroned, from the reign of Alexander III, the Great (336-323 BC). This marvelous coin is from the Kingdom of Macedonia of Classical Greece, and was minted at Ake or Tyre circa 317 BC. There is delicate 18 karat gold trim around the circumference of the coin, and lovely gold orbs at the cardinal direction points on the coin. On the Reverse side, there is Zeus enthroned, holding and eagle on extended right hand and resting scepter held in his left hand. On the obverse side, the Head of young Heracles clad in lion's skin knotted at his neck. This coin has been inspected and approved to be authentic by a professional Numismatic who specializes in ancient coinage. A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany this coin.
