A Silver Drachm Gorgon Pendant w 18K gold

A Silver Drachm [coin] pendant minted at Apollonia Pontika, Thrace, circa 3rd Century B.C. This marvelous coin is set in 18 karat gold trim around its perimeter, and has a decorative horizontal rod configuration at bail. On the obverse side is a front facing Gorgoneion, with mouth open and protruding tongue, with serpents protruding high from the head. On the reverse side is an upright anchor, with a crayfish and "A" on either side. This coin has been inspected and approved to be authentic by a professional Numismatic who specializes in ancient coinage. A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany this coin.
