19th C. Spanish Arch & Spindle Back Bench
A Spanish carved-wood bench, with trestle-legs and iron stretchers, from the 19th century. This antique wooden bench from Spain features a back rest carved in a repeating open arch motif with spindle back-splats and straight-edge top rail. The sides are open, without arms. The wooden seat is nicely-sized at just under 6.5 feet in width. The bench is raised on a pair of trestle-style wooden legs, which are each braced at the underside of the seat (in canted fashion) with an iron stretcher. This 19th century Spanish bench, with its repeating arch motif at backside and iron stretchers, would be a great seating addition to a mudroom, entry hall, or kitchen.
