18th C. Italian Marble Top Console Table

An Italian carved and painted wood console table, with marble top, from the 18th century. This antique table from Italy features its original marble top, in beautiful hues of gray, with bowed front and sides, and nicely profiled front corners. It is flat along its backside as to rest snuggly against a wall. The top is supported above the wood base with decoratively-carved skirting along three sides, and raised upon elegantly curvy legs which terminate onto pad-style feet. The wood has a later finish which is primarily a taupe/gray color with gold accent trim. This 18th century marble top table, approximately 4.5 feet in width, would make for a fabulous entry table, an accent table for a hall/stair landing; a versatile piece for just about any room!
