18th C. Italian Demi-Lunes or Center Table

An Italian pair of carved-wood demi lune tables from the 18th century. These antique tables from Italy each feature a demi-style halved-moon shaped top, with angular apron beneath, and presented upon four nicely turned legs, set canted as to have rear legs wider than the pair in front. The legs are braced with a box style wooden stretcher between them, just above their squared feet, which adds a decorative touch to the underside of the table. The the wood is a deep, rich brown with lovely patina and age, reflective of it's history. This pair of 18th century Italian tables will make a wonderful pair of demi consoles when separated, or can be placed together to make a wonderful round-shaped center table!
