Beautiful Pair French Antique Wall Consoles
A French pair of carved-wood wall mounted consoles, with their original painted finish and new marble tops, from the early 20th century. This antique pair of console wall brackets from France have demi-shaped tops (a new addition of custom made Taj Mahal Quartz Marble), over a rounded apron which is adorn with a gilt leaves and rosettes. Skirting is comprised of three-dimensionally carved gilt floral garlands, which are swagged between the carved volute scrolls where the legs meet the underside of the top edge, with each volute being carved with gilt acanthus sheaths. The three legs continue towards the backside and come together at the wall as a single leg/brace support, embellished with gilt acanthus leaves and chandelles. The original base color consists of a taupe/grey, with gold gilt accents. Please note that the tables are made to be wall-mounted for security, and can be mounted so in varying or adjustable heights, depending on your design needs. These early 20th century French wall consoles with floral garland swags and Taj Mahal quartz marble tops, have a nice shallow depth just shy of 12 inches, making them perfectly sized for petite drinks or display tables.
