French Two-Door Buffet Cabinet, 19th C.
A French two-door carved and painted wood buffet cabinet from the 19th century. This antique cabinet from France features a rectangular top with softly rounded front corners, above a case which houses a pair of decoratively-carved raised paneled doors, with a vertically set rectangular panel between them. The skirt is carved along three sides, with emphasis at the front center having a circle carved within the deep scallop. Petite cabriole legs with stacked feet raise the case at front, with squared legs at rear. There is a custom wash of cream (which still allows the wood grain to show through) and a pale blue/gray accent trim. This 19th century French carved-wood cabinet would make a great server for a dining room, or a decorative and functional storage option for a living room, or foyer.
