Italian Wooden Credenza Console, Mid 19th C

An Italian wooden credenza, with decorative geometric accents, from the mid 19th century. This antique buffet cabinet from Italy has a rectangular-shaped, and slightly overhanging top, over the case that houses a pair of half-sized, recessed-panel drawers set side by side, atop a pair of diamond paneled doors. Decoratively raised plaques embellish the front side posts and area center area between the drawers and doors. This chest has a stack molded base that is presented upon bracket style feet. Please note that there is a prior repair to a crack at the top, and some of the backboards have been replaced. This mid 19th century Italian cabinet is just over 4 feet in width; a good size for great storage and display opportunities without taking up too much floor space!
