French Neoclassical Marble Top Demi-Chest

A French Neoclassical painted demilune cabinet, with its original marble top, from the mid 19th century. This antique French cabinet features an elegantly curved demilune body, with the original half-moon shaped marble top, over case below which houses a single drawer at top center and pair of doors beneath. The case is embellished with raised diamond panels, flanked within column style side-posts adorn with golden/bronze accents at their tops and bottoms. The doors are fitted with simple escutcheon keyholes, and open to reveal shelving for ample storage within. The chest is presented upon four spaded legs that terminate into brass feet. The painted finish is later/vintage. Please note that there are some scratches on the marble top. This mid 19th century French Neoclassical style demilune cabinet would look fantastic in an entryway, living or dining room, topped with decorative objects and a large mirror or artwork hanging above.
