Swedish Demi-Lunes, or an Oval Center Table

A Swedish pair of carved and painted wood demi-lune tables, with nicely-carved aprons, from the 19th century. These antique tables from Sweden each feature a halved-oval shaped tops, over draped aprons, which hang down to create visual interest at the underside of the tables, with a shapely carved skirting. The tables are raised upon three beautifully turned legs. The custom painted finish is primarily taupe about the top (with hints of blue), and apron and legs in blue with taupe accents. These 19th century Swedish tables will not only work well as console tables against a wall, but they can be connected together along their backsides, allowing them to function together as a beautiful oval-shaped center table.
